Summary: The London Gazette published 4,905 corporate distress notices in September 2025: 3,573 liquidation, 977 winding-up, 141 administration and 0 receivership notices. That is down 5.6% on the previous month (5,197) and up 4.2% on September 2024 (4,706).

Counts are compiled from corporate insolvency notices published in The London Gazette, excluding solvent members' voluntary liquidations (planned closures of companies that can pay their debts in full), and reflect notice volume, not the number of distinct companies: one insolvency generates several notices over its life.
